The Big Ass Card
For local businesses

Your QR code can do more than link to your website.

Google's own search results send fewer people to websites every year. Local review count and recency, on the other hand, are more valuable than ever — and they're something a QR code on a mailer is uniquely good at driving.

Why this matters

Search sends less traffic. Reviews still win the map.

AI-generated summaries now answer a large and growing share of Google searches directly on the results page — no click required. That's made ranking a website for informational content a much less reliable way to reach customers than it used to be.

Local "near me" and business-name searches work differently. Those still surface a business profile card — name, hours, directions, and reviews — front and center, and that placement is driven heavily by how many reviews you have and how recently you got them. It's one of the few parts of Google that a steady stream of real customers can still directly move.

A mailer QR code is a direct line to people who already chose to engage with your ad. That makes it one of the highest-intent places you can ask for a review.

Two ways to do it

Pick one, or use both.

1

Point a QR straight at your review link

The most direct path — a customer scans, lands on Google's own "leave a review" screen, done. A slot can hold more than one QR code, so this doesn't have to replace a QR pointed at your site or a landing page.

2

Build a landing page

We'll host a mobile-friendly page with a "Leave us a Review" button alongside Call and Get Directions — one QR code, several ways for a customer to reach you, and every tap is tracked.

If you don't have it handy

Finding your Google review link

1

Search Google for your business name, or open the Google Business Profile app.

2

Find "Ask for reviews" or "Get more reviews" on your profile — Google generates a short, shareable link there.

3

Copy that link — it's what you'll paste in as your destination URL below.
